How to Curve Text in Cricut Design Space
To curve or wrap text in Cricut Design Space, start by clicking shapes on the left sidebar and choosing a circle to add to your canvas.
Make the circle the size you would like for your curved text.
Now click text and type your word(s). Choose a font and size.
Highlight your text and then choose “advanced” from the font menu. Click “ungroup to letters”.
Now each of your letters is a different layer in CDS.
You can move and rotate each of these letter individually. Start with your center letter and move it to the center of your curve.
Then work your way to both sides moving and rotating the letter to fit the curve on the circle.
Watch your letter spacing as well when you move each letter into position.
Continue to play with your design until you are happy with the results.
Select the circle and delete it.
This next step is very important!! Highlight all of your letter by picking them or the layers while holding down the control button on your computer. Alternately you can also draw a box around all of them on the canvas. Once they are ALL chosen, right click and pick “attach”.
This one step will ensure that the letters stay in place when you click “make it”. Your mat should look something like the one below.
