This tutorial will show you how to open an SVG in Cricut Design Space. If you're looking for help
opening a PNG file in Cricut Design Space, check out this tutorial.
Start by opening Cricut Design Space and click “New Project” to get a blank canvas.

On the left hand side, click “upload”.

Click “Upload Image”. You can see the file types here that can be imported into CDS.

Click “Browse” to find the file on your computer.

For an svg file, like this "
It's All About the Pie" design from So Fontsy, each color will be imported into a cut file as a different layer. You just have to click “save” to save the file to your uploads.

The file should appear in your recent uploads section as the first file. Click it to add to your canvas.

You can now resize your design and cut from any material that you like. You can see that each color is on a different layer so they will each cut on a different mat.
